Editorial Policy

Overview

The Journal of Global Trends in Artificial Intelligence (JGTAI) is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity, rigor, and impartiality in the publication of cutting-edge research in Artificial Intelligence. Our editorial policy outlines the principles and procedures governing the submission, review, and publication processes to ensure quality, transparency, and fairness.

Editorial Board

The editorial board, led by Chief Editor Mr. Sandeep Gupta, comprises experts in Artificial Intelligence and related fields. The board oversees the peer review process, ensures adherence to editorial standards, and provides strategic guidance for the journal’s development. Board members are selected based on their expertise, academic credentials, and commitment to advancing AI research.

Submission Guidelines

JGTAI accepts original and unpublished submissions, including research articles, review papers, technical notes, short communications, and case studies. Authors are required to submit manuscripts via the online submission system (https://jgtai.com/index.php/jgtai/index) or by emailing editor@jgtai.com. Submissions must adhere to the journal’s formatting and style guidelines, available on the website, and include a cover letter detailing the manuscript’s significance and originality.

Peer Review Process

JGTAI employs a double-blind peer review process to ensure impartiality and objectivity. Each submission is anonymized and evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. Reviewers assess manuscripts based on originality, scientific rigor, methodological soundness, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s scope. The review process typically takes 4–8 weeks, after which authors receive detailed feedback and a decision (accept, revise, or reject). The Chief Editor makes the final publication decision, ensuring fairness and consistency.

Editorial Standards

  • Originality: Submissions must be original, unpublished works and not under consideration elsewhere. Plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, is strictly prohibited and screened using plagiarism detection tools.
  • Ethical Conduct: Authors must adhere to ethical research practices, including proper attribution, data integrity, and disclosure of conflicts of interest. Studies involving human or animal subjects must comply with relevant ethical guidelines and include necessary approvals.
  • Transparency: Authors are required to provide clear methodology, data availability statements (where applicable), and acknowledgments of funding or contributions.
  • Corrections and Retractions: JGTAI is committed to correcting errors promptly. In cases of significant errors or ethical violations, retractions or expressions of concern may be issued, following COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.

Open Access and Licensing

As an open-access journal, all published articles are freely accessible under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), allowing reuse with proper attribution. Authors retain copyright while granting JGTAI the right to publish and distribute their work. Article Processing Charges (APCs) may apply to support the open-access model, with details available on the journal’s website.

Editorial Independence

The editorial board operates independently of the publisher and external influences to ensure unbiased decision-making. Editorial decisions are based solely on the quality and merit of the submitted work, free from commercial or personal considerations.

Appeals and Complaints

Authors may appeal editorial decisions by submitting a formal request to the Chief Editor (editor@jgtai.com), providing a detailed justification. Complaints regarding the editorial process or ethical concerns should also be directed to the Chief Editor and will be addressed promptly and transparently, following COPE guidelines.

Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion

JGTAI encourages submissions from diverse perspectives and underrepresented groups in AI research. The journal is committed to fostering an inclusive environment for authors, reviewers, and readers.
